This past Monday Kaylee turned 10 months old. This month has been one of my favorites so far..I think each month gets more and more fun. I can't believe we are less than two months away from her first birthday. I am having so much fun planning her party. This month Kaylee has become a lot more mobile. She can climb up the stairs, stand up for a few seconds by herself and she can walk from one thing to another holding on. She has also started talking more this month..the kid is always babbling and talking. She says mama and she actually calls John dada now instead of baba. She says ball and baby and up and she said no to me once..thank goodness that word has not stuck yet. She doesn't use a bottle any more and she is doing very good with her sippy cup. She is becoming a little more picky with her eating..she doesn't eat baby food anymore. She loves snack foods like goldfish and puffs and cheerios but she is not a big fan of veggies. She eats lots of fruit, yogurt and oatmeal. This month she got all caught up on her shots and she had to get her finger pricked and we found out she is anemic..we are giving her polyvisol drops and they will re-check her when she is one to see if her numbers have gone up. She weighs 22 pounds...can you believe that. She is wearing 18 month clothes.HAHA. She had her first ear infection this month which wasn't fun. She was running a really high fever and they didn't know what was wrong with her..they ran some tests and had us come back the next day just to tell us it was an ear infection. It was a little frusterating. She was on antibiotics and went back a few days ago and they said she was all better. We are hoping that she will take her first steps this month and maybe be walking a little by her first birthday. We'll see!!
These pics are from Kaylee's doctor appointment. I wasn't able to take her so my mom and Aunt Lori and Katelyn took her..Thanks guys!!

Day with the Nolans
Today my mom, Kaylee and I spent the day with the Melissa, Tyler, Nathan and McKayla..it has been so long since we have been able to spend time with them and we had so much fun. We started out at the Dunes park for about an hour, then it got a little too chilly for the kiddos so we headed to Chuck E Cheese (Tyler's choice)...after about 2 hours of playing games we finished our visit off with lunch at Sonny's. All the kids had so much fun playing and Kaylee thought they were funny..she enjoyed having Tyler and McKayla swing her and go down the slides with her. We had such a great time and can't wait to hang out with them again soon!!Tyler pushing Kaylee at the parkKaylee and TylerShe had so much funTylerTyler racing at Chuck E CheeseKaylee at Chuck E CheeseThis was her favorite rideAll tuckered out from a hard day of playing

Sippy Cup
Well it's official...my baby is not a baby anymore... Kaylee has not had a bottle since Monday. She has been using strictly sippy cups. She has been using sippy cups for juice since she was about 4 months old, but she still used bottles for her formula. I had decided that when she turned 10 months I would start weaning her so when she was one year old she would be completly off the bottle..well Tuesday morning she woke up hungry and she wanted her bottle right away. Of course all her bottles were dirty so instead of hearing her whine while I washed one I decided to try the cup..I handed it to her and went to the bathroom and when I came back it was empty. I thought she poured it out somewhere but she didn't..she actually drank her whole cup full..so I decided that from then on we were using a sippy cup since I knew she could do it. My only concern was bedtime..I usually put her to bed with a bottle (not good I know) so I was afraid she might not go to sleep without it but she did. So we are on day 4 and so far so good!!

Our day!!
When I tell people I do in home daycare they often ask..how do you do it all day with all those babies..so I thought I would do a post to give everyone a little glimpse of what our day looks like.
John and I get up at 6:00 to get ready and at 6:30 John leaves and Kaylee gets up. I change her and feed her a bottle while we wait for our kiddos to arrive.
At 7:00 Mya gets dropped off. Mya is 3 1/2 months old. She is such a good baby. She NEVER cries and she is so laid back. You can put her down any time any where and she doesn't mind. Mya sleeps a lot and loves to be in the bouncy seat. The next to arrive is Lily at 7:15. Lily is my high mantinence baby..haha!! She wants what she wants when she wants it..but she is a cutie. Lily is almost 4 months old. She loves to be held. She spends lots of time in the swing which is the only thing that makes her happy if I am not holding her. She is just starting to eat baby food and she is not quite rolling over yet, but she is trying really hard. Won't be long.At 7:30 Jade gets dropped off. Jade is 8 months old and she is Kaylees best friend. She is so cute. She has lots of hair and I love playing with it (when she lets me)!! Jade is crawling and pulling up on everything..her and Kaylee are constantly into EVERYTHING. Jade has been with me the longest and she is developing the cutest little personality. The last to arrive is Alex. He comes anywhere from 9:30-1:30. Alex is our newest addition. He also goes to church with us. He is 4 months old. Alex was a fussy little guy when he first started coming, but he gets better each week. He likes to be held but he is starting to realize that I can't hold him all day and he will now swing and play in the exersaucer. After all the kids arrive Kaylee eats her breakfast and we do our first round of diaper changes, bottles and they go down for their morning naps. Mya sleeps in the bouncy seat, Lily sleeps in the swing downstairs, and Kaylee and Jade sleep in the swings upstairs..I don't know what I would do without my swings...there my lifesavers (Alex is not usually here at this point). They usually sleep from about 8:00 to 10:00.MyaLilyJade
Once they get up, we do another round of diaper changes (I changea lot of diapers throughtout the course of a day) then we have play time. Mya likes to play on a playmat on the floor and Lily and Alex take turns in the exersaucer. Jade and Kaylee usually crawl around and try to find things to destroy..lol.AlexLilyMya
Around 11:30-12:00 we do more diaper changes and get ready for lunch. Jade and Kaylee are the only ones who eat baby food and the little ones have bottles.
After lunch its time for afternoon naps. They all get back in their spots and sleep from about 1:00-3:00.
After afternoon naps we do ANOTHER round of diapers and more playtime..Kaylee and Jade usually watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and have a snack when they get up.Jade and Kaylee watching Mickey Mouse ClubhouseMya
Lily
Pick-ups start at 4:30. Mya is the first to get picked up then Jade at 5:00 and Lily at 5:15. Alex is the last to leave, usually around 5:30 or 6:00. Once they are gone I pick up the million toys that are in the floor and thats usually when John is getting home.
My job is so much fun. I love spending my days with all these little guys. I am looking forward to when they all get little bigger and we can have story time and craft time and movie day and all kinds of fun things!!!The little girlsThere not always happySome days we have lots of crying

Mommy's Helper
Every morning when I get Kaylee from her crib I say to her "Are you gonna be mommy's big helper with the babies today" She always gives me this big smile like she knows exactly what I'm talking about. Whenever one of the babies are crying she will crawl over to them to see whats wrong and look at me to make sure I notice..haha!! She is so cute. I really think that she thinks that they are all babies and she is not!!

My new years resolution is.....
to do the Gate River Run. For the past few years I have really wanted to do this and last year I was 9 months pregnant and in no shape to run..HAHA but I said that I would do it this year and I am going to do it. I haven't run in so long, and I should have already started training. So I know this is going to take a lot of work and dedication to pull this off but I think I can do it. I am going to start training tomorrow so if anyone out there wants to join me and be my training partner just let me know. Wish me luck!!!

Happy New Year
It's hard to believe that 2009 has already come to an end. I remember just like it was yesterday posting my "New Year" post this time last year. 2008 was by far the best year of my life...in March our precious Kaylee was born and she has been such a blessing to our family. We have had so many wonderful opportunities over the past year....John got a new job as the General Manager of a Fastenal tool store and he absolutely loves it. I was able to quit my job and stay at home with Kaylee (and a few other little rascals :) which has been the most amazing experience. I love being with her every day and not missing any of her firsts..it's so much fun!! We began renting a condo in March and we really love it here. Our lease is up in a few months and were still deciding whether or not we want to stay another year or try to rent or buy a house...I feel like we just setteled in here and I HATE moving..HAHA!!! We have had lots of fun over the past year hanging out with our friends and family and making many new friends that will always be special to us. 2008 was such a great year for us and we are excited to see what 2009 has in store. We hope everyone has a great, happy and healthy year!!!

Best Buddies
Kaylee and Jade, one of the little girls I keep, are starting to become little buddies. It's so cute to see them together. Jade is almost 7 months old and she is starting to crawl so they are getting into everything. They take their morning naps at the same time but they have to be in seperate rooms or they stay up laughing at each other. Kaylee is usually the first one up so whenever Jade wakes up and I put her down in front of Kaylee they both get these big smiles on their faces and start climbing all over eachother..Jade has lots of hair that Kaylee loves to pull and Jade always takes Kaylee's bows out of her hair. They are both really enjoying playing in the ball pit Kaylee got for Christmas..here are a few pictures of them playing together the other day...

Christmas
Kaylee's first Christmas didn't go exactly as we hoped..she was really sick, but we had lots of fun spending time with our families. There was no Christmas eve service at church this year which we were all a little dissapointed about but it gave us more time to make all our rounds with family. Christmas eve we went to John's parents house to celebrate with them and his grandparents, his mom got a honey baked ham that was really yummy and Kaylee got lots of cute clothes from them...she wasn't really to interested in opening her presents because she wasn't feeling good so I had to do most of them for her. Christmas morning we went down and opened Kaylee's presents and she was still not feeling well and she was running a fever but she was a little more excited to help me open them because there were toys inside instead of clothes..we got her a ball pit that she really likes and a toy that she can either push or ride on, she tries to walk behind it but it goes to fast for her so she ends up falling..haha!! We spend most of the afternoon just hanging around the house cuddling with her trying to get her feeling better then that evening we went to my Nana and Papa's to have Christmas with them and my family. Kaylee still wasn't feeling good so she sat with my Mami while I opened all her gifts..she got lots of cute clothes from Mami and Mac Daddy and some toys that make lots of noise that she is really enjoying now that she is feeling better :) Nana and Papa got her clothes and this cute little princess clock that shines stars on the ceiling when the lights are out..we have it above her crib and she likes to look at them at night. We had such a great time being with everyone and want to thank everyoone for everything they got us..we really are blessed. We didn't get many pictures since Kaylee wasn't feeling well but here are a few I got of her at our house on Christmas morning.
