5 Months Old

It seems like yesterday I was posting that Kaylee was 4 months old. I can't believe another month has already passed. Month 5 was so much fun. Kaylee's personality is really starting to come out and we are having a blast with her. She is sleeping all night again which is VERY nice and she is still eating like a champ!! She is eating stage 2 foods now which is good because there is a much bigger variety of things she can have. Her favorite veggie is still sweet potatoes and she also really really likes bluberries and apples mixed. As I posted previously, Kaylee got het first tooth about a week ago which is so exciting. Every day it is coming in more and more..won't be long until you can see it when she smiles. Kaylee has been going in the chruch nursery every Wednesday and Sunday and she is doing great, the workers always tell me that she is so good and they feel bad because they don't have to do anything with her the whole time like some of the other kids...Good job Kaylee!! It has been such a fun month and we are so blessed to have Kaylee in our lives. I will be catching up on pictures in the next few posts.

1st Tooth

The last few weeks we have noticed that Kaylee has started drooling a lot more and chewing on everything she can get her mouth on. (Including us..haha) Thursday night when I went to put baby orajel on her gums she bit down and I felt something sharp...one of her botom teeth has poked through her gums. I could not believe it since it was not there when I had felt just a few days ago. I was not able to get a picture of it becasue it hasn't come in all the way yet so you have to pry her mouth open to be able to see it. She has really been a trooper though...she didn't seem to be to bothered by it. I am hoping within the next couple of weeks it will come in more and I can get a picture to post!!!

John's New Store

For those of you who don't know John started a new job back in June. He is now working at Fastenal which is an Industrial and Construction supply company. He started out working in the store answering phones and learning all the systems and in just a few weeks was promoted to an outside sales associate. He found out a few weeks ago that they were opening a new store in our area and he could possibly become the General Manager. Well last Monday he went down to Daytona for an interview and Wednesday he called and said he got the position. We are so excited and I am so proud of him. He worked very hard for this and I know he is going to do a great job managing this new store. His store is only a few minutes away from my work so we will be able to have lunch together sometimes which I am really looking forward to. He is going to be working a lot more hours now so I know we will cherish the time we have together a lot more now. This weekend we painted his store (thanks mom for letting Kaylee spend the night Saturday..we would not have been able to finish with her there) and this week they will be working on getting all the product in and ready to go. Here are a few pictures of us painting the shop. I will post more once the store is all set up.
We had to put primer on the wall before we could paint it blue..it took forever to paint because the concrete kept soaking up the paint.John after painting all day!!Kaylee hung out with us Saturday morning and then I took her to my mom for the night so we could finish without interruptions. She had such a great time rolling around on the floor.

Rain Days!!!

Wednesday afternoon, Thursday and Friday our offices were closed due to Tropical Storm Fay. Even though we were stuck in the house for a few days...I really enjoyed having some time off of work and spending the days hanging out with Kaylee. (John still had to work) Church was cancelled Wednesday night so I went home and made dinner and started catching up on laundry. Then Thursday John headed off to work and Kaylee and I caught up on all the housework. It's amazing how much laundry we go through in a week!! John got off a little early on Thursday and I made dinner when he got home...can you believe I made dinner two nights in a row..haha!! Friday was the worst weather and there were lots of tornado warning's so Kaylee and I prepared the bathroom just in case we had to hang out in there for a while. Thankfully it did not come to that. By Friday night we were ready to get out so we went to eat dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings and walked around Walmart for a while. The sun finally came out for a while on Saturday so we were able to be out and about for the weekend. We were really fortunate to have not been affected by "Fay" at all. We never lost power and had no problems with flooding or anything else. Here are a few pictures I took while we were rained in.
Hanging out in her exersaucer while mommy cleaned house!!Naptime...she love to take naps in her swing!!

To Tired to Eat

This weekend we had a fun and busy weekend. Saturday John spent the day with his dad and Kaylee and I spent the day with Kristin and Brendan who are visiting from Naples. We took the kids swimming, got Brendans first hair cut, and went to the park. Then on Sunday we went to church and went to Johnny Shane and Jayde's 4th birthday party at Hannah Park. Kaylee had so much fun watching all the kids play and by the time we got home she was so worn out. I tried to wake her up to feed her dinner and give her a bath but she just wouldn't get up. haha. I managed to get her to eat 1/2 of her jar of baby food, but she kept her eyes closed the whole time. It was so funny. Here are a few pics from our weekend.

Rolling Over

So Little Miss Kaylee has finally started rolling over, but she only does it in her crib when no one is looking. HAHA. She always sleeps on her stomach at night and for the past four nights, every time I have gone in to get her she has been laying on her back looking up at me smiling..it's so cute. I've been trying to get a picture of it but she only does in when she is in her crib. Last night it was so funny, around 3:30 AM I heard music coming through her monitor that was not on when I put her to bed. I turned the monitor up and heard her laughing. I was a litle confused and also worried that someone was in her room because I knew she could not reach the button to turn the music on. I went in to check on her and she was on her back and she had her foot on the button that turns the toy on in her crib. Every time it would go off she would kick it with her foot to turn it back on and start laughing. It was histerical. Hopefully I will catch a picture of it soon.

Sippy Cup

I decided last night that is was time to try adding the sippy cup to our dinner routine. Kaylee loved it. She new exactly what to di with it, it was like she had been doing it all her life..haha!! The only one I had was one with a hard spout, so it was a little hard for her to get out, but she would finally start getting some then she would smile. It was so cute. I am going to get one that has a soft spout on it and see if she does any better. The cup had handles on it so she thought she was a big girl since she could hold it by herself. Here are some pictures of her "drinking" from her cup.
