Disney Vacation

Last week we went with John's parents and brother to Disney World..they are huge Disney fans and get season passes to go all year long. They have been wanting us to go with them and take Kaylee since she was born so we decided that since it had cooled off we would give it a shot and see how she liked it...turns out she LOVES it. Her favorite TV show is Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on playhouse disney so we wanted to see if she recognized mickey mouse in person..she didn't really care about the characters but she loved the rides..lol..We left early Sunday morning and stopped at Seaworld since John's dad had never been..Kaylee was very good and seemed to have a fun time looking at the animals but there was nothing there she could ride. We stayed at a hotel in Disney which was very nice because once we parked we didn't have to get back in the car..we just rode buses to whatever park we wanted to go to. Monday we spent the day at Epcot and she had a really good time. She got to ride a few rides and she really liked looking around at all the lights. Tuesday morning we went to MGM but Kaylee was a little fussy so we went back to the hotel to let her nap and then headed out to Animal Kingdom..she loved riding on the Safari ride and seeing the animals. Tuesday night we went to Mickeys very Merry Christmas parade and I think that was her favorite...we were afraid she might be fussy because it was late but she loved watching the parade and we even rode a few rides..By Wednesday we were kind of tired and didn't really feel up to going to a park so John, Kaylee and I headed to downtown disney and walked around and rode the boats. We had a really good time and Kaylee did better that we ever imagined..we are so glad we have season passes so we can take her back all year long. She did such a good job riding around in her stroller!!

8 and 9 month update

Well..It has been so long since my last post that I don't even know where to begin. I missed Kaylee's 8 month post and she will be 9 months is a few days so I thought I would go ahead and do them together. Kaylee is finally crawling now and she is getting into EVEYTHING. Ididn't realize there were so many dangerous things in our house. HAHA. She has learned to pull herself up now and she stands up on everything she can get her hands on..she even knows how to get up the stairs. Her personality is developing more and more and she keeps us cracking up all the time. She calls John "baba" and says "mama" only when she is upset and she wants me..lol!! She puts everything in her mouth so I have to vaccume daily. It's amazing what she can find. Kaylee is still eating like a champ and she loves to go to Sonny's because she gets her own bowl of Macoronie and Cheese (her favorite). Kaylee really enjoyed her first Thanksgiving, we spent lots of time with both sides of our family. We just got back from a week in Orlando visiting Mickey Mouse and Kaylee really enjoyed it..I will do another post for that!! We are very excited for Kaylee's first Christmas and I will be sure to post pictures of all our holiday events!!Well..It has been so long since my last post that I don't even know where to begin. Daddy and the Claw Machine

Every weekend we go to Walmart to grocery shop and on the way out John always stops at the claw machine to win stuffed animals for Kaylee...this particular walmart has really good prizes in it and he usually wins two or three each weekend. I told him we are going to have to have a whole room for just her for her animals when we move...they are starting to take over her nursery!! She gets so excited when he gives them to her..haha..I think this is the only reason they like to come to Walmart with me!!

Accident

Just wanted to say a quick thanks for all the prayers, calls and texts Sunday after John's accident. They were greatly appreciated. For those of you who don't know John was supposed to leave Sunday to go to Minnesota for two weeks for a work trip...he was on his way to the airport Sunday morning and his car hit a slick spot on the road coming off an exit ramp and his truck flipped and was totalled. Thank God he was not hurt too badly, he thinks he may have a broken rib and he has some bruises and scratches on his head where he hit the roof of the car but other than that he is just really sore. He was so fortunate to not have been badly injured. He ended up missing his flight and all the later flights were booked up due to the Florida/Georgia game so he didn't end up going to Minnesota. He will probably not be going now until January...when it's REALLY REALLY cold!!!

Halloween

Kaylee had so much fun on her first Halloween, she was a monkey and she was so cute. John picked her outfit and I have to admit I didn't love it at first, but once I got it on her it was so adorableand perfect for the weather. We headed out to church Halloween night and had a blast, there was lots of good food and candy and everyone's costumes looked so good. We had so much fun hanging out with family and catching up with friends. The weather was a little chilly so we kept Kaylee bundled up really good, but she seemed to have a lot of fun...she didn't fuss at all. There wasn't much we could do with her except walk around since the activities were mostly for older kids..but she didn't mind. She got to have her first taste of cotton candythanks to Mac Daddy...he went to give her a little bite and she grabbed the whole stick from him..she loved it. Is melted all over her and she was a sticky mess but she was happy!! We had so much fun and can't wait for the upcoming holiday season. Here are some pictures of her in her costume. My mom has a few more good ones on her camera that I will add later. Daddy and Kaylee getting ready to head to church!!

What would you do......

for a Klondike bar!! LOL John was eating a Klondike bar the other night and Kaylee kept growling at him like she wanted some so he went to give her a lick and she tried to grab the whole thing..haha!! He gave it to her and she went to town...she was making a hugh mess so I was trying to take it away from her anc she kept growling and screaming!! This little girl is something else..We had to get daddy a new one because Kaylee slobbered all over his..haha No...she wasn't falling asleep eating it..the flash was really bright.

mmmmm...so good!!

7 months old....a little late

I am a little behind on my posting but last Sunday Kaylee turned 7 months old. I was hoping this month we would be able to post that she was crawling..but unfortunantly shes not. HAHA. She is rolling constantly now and can get anywhere she wants to go. Lately she has been getting up on her hands and knees and rocking back and forth. It looks like she is about to take off at any second but eventually she just falls back down :) We have had another great month and we are getting excited for all the upcoming holidays since this will be Kaylee's first. Kaylee loves playing with her toys and she enjoys being outside. We took her to the sweet potato festival in Georgia last week and she had lots of fun walking around and seeing everything. She got a new highchair this month since her legs are now too big to fit in her Bumbo (which is where I used to feed her). She loves getting in her highchair because she knows she is about to eat!! She is also taking baths like a big girl now. We put a bath mat in her bathtub and she sits there and plays with her toys while I am bathing her. Bath time has become so much more fun now. Tonight is Halloween and we will be taking her to the church for the festival. Check back later for pictures of the event and to see what Kaylee was for Halloween!! Taking a bath in her bumbo..before she outgrew it!!

She is so close!!!
Playing with my friend Mylee at church
Look we can finally stop using the stick on bows....she actually has enough hair to clip them in.

Biter Biscuits

Last week we let Kaylee try biter biscuits for the first time and they were a huge success. She was able to hold it herself and she loved it. They are very sticky and messy but it kept her entertained for almost an hour. She loves to be a big girl and feed herself. Yummy

That was so yummy

Oh no I made a big mess

Orlando Trip

This past weekend John and I headed to Orlando with his mom and little brother for a mimi-vacation and we had SO much fun. We left Kaylee with my mom and dad (thanks guys for keeping her all weekend..I know she had a blast). We headed down Friday night after John got home from work and we got there about 7:30. We dropped out stuff off at the hotel and me and him headed to downtown disney to walk around and hang out. Saturday we got up early and headed to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure..since we stayed in a Universal Hotel we got a fast pass to ride all the rides, so we didn't have to wait on anything...it was so great!! After the parks we headed to the hotel to get cleaned up and John and I headed to city walk for a nice dinner by ourselves. We had so much fun and wished we could have stayed longer although we really missed Kaylee. We are hoping to take her to Disney when it cools off. I didn't take my camera to the parks so these are the only pictures I got of our trip!! John and his little brother Caleb

1st Popsicle

A few days ago Kaylee enjoyed her first popsicle..well only a few little bites, but she really liked it. John came home from work and I was telling him that she was a litle fussy because of her teeth and he thought it would be fun to see if a popsicle would help. (He always likes to give her foods that mommy won't) She loves lemons so we gave her a lemon popsicle..she didn't care for it at first becausei was so cold, but once she realized that it tasted good she didn't even care. She would have probably ate the whole thing but I had to take it away because her lips were turning red from the cold. It was so cute!! No daddy it's mine!!!

I had to take it away because her lips were getting to cold..it looks a lot worse in the picture than it really was.
