Zoo

Kaylee loves the zoo!! Ive taken her twice since she has been born but John hasn't been able to go either time so we decided we wanted to take her back with him before Kyle was born. So today we headed out to the zoo...I knew it would be too hot for me in the afternoon so we decided to go as soon as they opened. We got there at 9 and there was no one there..it was so nice. We were there about 3 1/2 hours and it never got really crowded but it did get hot. Kaylee had such a blast..she rode in her stroller the first half of the time and then after we ate lunch we let her run around and play...she was totally worn out by the time we left. Last time I took her we played in the splash park but I forgot her swin diaper this time so we weren't able to do it. She LOVED the petting zoo and she was trying to kiss every goat in there haha!! She also enjoyed a little bit of all of our snow cones and John's dad bought her these bracelets with bells on them which she was totally thrilled about!! We had such a fun time and we can't wait to go back after Kyle is born and it cools off a little.Pretty KayleeI think this was a leapordI've never actually seen the lions up and walking around!!Daddy and Kaylee petting the goatsShe kept saying "Touch It??"She made sure she touched every goat in there
Wow...I'm huge!!!

MOSH for John's Birthday

Last Saturday was Johns 24th birthday. He didn't really have anything that he wanted to do so Kaylee and I decided that we would take him to MOSH for his birthday :) This was Kaylee's first time going and it was the first time John and I had been in a very long time...it was a lot of fun but not somewhere you would plan to spend the whole day!! They have the dinosaur exhibit showing right now which was neat, but they are doing that in place of all the hands on stuff they usually have..so I was kind of dissapointed about that. They had a little kids playplace which was really neat it had a water table and some chalk tables and a bunch of little ride on toys for toddlers..this was of course Kaylees favorite part!!

Kaylee 16 Months

Kaylee is 16 months old today...I can't believe in two months she is going to be a year and a half old!! Kaylee is changing so much these days..she is starting to talk more and more. She only says about 10 words that we actually understand but she is constantly babbling!! We took a little break from the big girl bed because she was waking up every night in it and I was too tired to deal with it. We only have a few weeks left now before the baby so tonight we are going to start trying her in it again. She is starting to test her boundaries more and more these days!! She laughs when you tell her no and usually laughs if you ask her if she wants a spanking...until she gets the spanking that it. She has started loving shoes the past few weeks and is always bringing me shoes to put on her. We are trying to talk to her more and more about her little brother and show her his things..of course she has no clue that he is about to rock her world..haha!! The other day she was laying in my lap and Kyle was kicking her an she lifted up my shirt and started hitting my belly back, it was so funny!!! Here are a few pictures of our little princess.Happy girlPlaying outsideShe loves her big ball

Markers

This weekend I ran into a huge back to school sale at target and stocked up on crayons and markers for the kids to use when they get a little older. The markers were supposably for little kids and they were washable..so yesterday I thought I would let Kaylee try them out. I taped a piece of construction paper to her high chair and let her have at it...we only had one little problem...she kept trying to eat them!! This is what we ended up with...She wasn't sure yet if she liked it or not!!Coloring on her highchair instead of the paper..of course

She kept trying to eat the markers and it was getting all over her face
Upset because I got onto her for putting them in her mouth!

The Big Pink Dog

This past weekend we went to Dave and Busters with John's mom and brother and Kaylee had sucha great time. She has been to Dave and Busters a few times but not since she has been able to walk. She wore herself out running all over the place and the best part came at the end when daddy cashed in his tickets and won Kaylee this HUGE pink puppy. She loved it and wanted to carry it around even though i was way too big for her to carry. I asked John where he planned on putting it and he said it didnt matter because she liked it so much. He loves getting animals for his girl!! So we have a huge pink dog in our living room that Kaylee and the other kids love to roll around on and lay on to watch tv.

Getting Ready for Kyle

Since it won't be much longer now until baby Kyle is here I am trying to get all his clothes washed and his room prepared. We are so blessed to have such great family and friends that have given us so many wonderful things for our little guy. Thanks to everyone!!

Kaylee and Kyle's New Ride

When I was pregnant with Kaylee, everything we picked out for her was pink pink pink. We talked about getting a neutral carseat and stroller so we could use it for our next child but then we decided by the time we had another baby we would probably want a new one anyways so we went ahead and got pink. Obviously we didn't realize that we would be having another baby so soon. Needless to say when we found out we were having a boy this time we had to get rid of all the pink and start over. We wanted a double stroller since Kaylee is still so young and I really wanted one with a matching infant seat!! So I found one on craigslist that was brand new with a matching infant car seat. I was so excited. My mom and dad bought it for us as a baby gift. I was so excited to get it. I put it together and pushed Kaylee around the house in it. LOL. We can't wait for baby Kyle to get here so we can go for a ride in their new stroller!!

This girl loves to play outside

Happy girl

Bath time

I haven't been able to put pictures on the blog in a while so I thought while I had the chance I would go ahead and add some random ones from the past month!!

27 weeks

I haven't been as good this pregnancy at taking belly pictures but Katelyn is always on my back about it and she took one the other day so I thought i would share. I went to the doctor today and found I passed my 3hour gllucose test...I was so relieved about that! My blood pressure was high today but since I was in labor and delivery Monday night with high blood pressure and everything checked out okay, she went ahead and sent me home and I go back Tuesday. She said she expects my blood pressure to start getting higher once I hit 30 weeks..so we are just parying that it doesn't get too bad and I will be able to keep him in there until at least 36 or 37 weeks!!!!

4th of July

Last year for fourth of July John was out of town for work so he has been saying for months now that he wanted to have a party this year since he would be here. So we had my family, the Principe's and John's parents over for a smoker. John did pork and chicken on the smoker and it was so good. He started cooking Friday night so me and him camped out in the living room floor. Everyone came over at noon and lunch was ready at 1:00. We had so much fun spending time with friends and family. Toddler Bed

With the new baby coming we decided to go ahead and get Kaylee a toddler bed so we could move her crib to Kyles room. We picked it up Monday and put it in her room but she hasn't slept in it yet because we haven't finished babyproofing her room yet. She of course noticed the bed as soon as she got to her room and was so excited to play in it. She kept going back upstairs to get in it.. It was so cute how excited she was. I am going to try letting her take naps in it first and see how she does.. Hopefully by the end of the week we will have her room finished and she can sleep in it all night. We are praying for a smooth transition.

Bubble Gum

A few weeks ago John had one of those screwball icecreams from the icecream man..the ones that have bubblegum in the bottom. Well apparantly he ate the ice cream but didn't want the bubble gum so be left it on the table by the couch. The next morning I was in the kitchen making Kaylees breakfast and when she came in there I noticed she had something in her mouth...and it smelled like bubble gum. I was thinking surely she couldn't have bubble gum.. Where would she have got it?? So I finally pryed her mouth open and realized that it was indeed bubble gum. She was really enjoying it and didn't want to give it to me so I asked her to show me where she got it from (not thinking she really would) so she took my hand and walked me to the table where she got it from and gave me the empty ice cream container. I asked her if that was where she got the gum and she shook her head yes. Not knowing whether or not to believe her I called John to ask him if he had by chance left his bubblegum on the table..and he had. I decided I would let her have it for a while and follow her around with it to make sure she didn't spit it out anywhere or get of in her hair. When I was ready to take it away she cried and cried so I gave it back to her. she ended up chewing it all day until she went to bed. It was so funny..So now I use bubblegum to bribe her to go in the nursery and sit in her carseat and anything else I want her to do.

15 months

I can't believe kaylee is 15 months.. Time is flying by so fast. Each month she is growing up more and more and doing so many new things. She is running all around now and she loves playing outside..she will stand at the back door and shake her head when she wants to go out. She is getting better at communicating with us but we are still having a hard time getting her to say what she wants instead of just pointing or shaking her head. She talks all the time but usually you can't understand her. She says yes, no, sit, up, mama, dada, Mami, Kate, ball, pretty, help..and that's about it. The rest is jut baby babble. She babble the same things a lot so we think she is trying to say something but we just don't understand her. She hasn't been eating as much lately but we think it may have something to do with the fact that it is so hot. She kind of snacks throughout the day but is not really eating her meals.. I just figure she will eat if she is hungry. She is starting to throw tantrums more an more now and test her limits which gets very tiring. One of her favorite things is to share ice cream with John which she does almost every night. She is very good at taking turns with him and waiting patiently for her next bite. We are continuing to have so much fun with her and thank God for her every day!!

Blogging

Thismorning I will be sitting at the lab for three or four hours with nothing to do so I am going to try to catch up on all my blogging updates from my iPhone..it won't allow me to add pictures or titles to my post posts so I will have to go back and add them in when I get home...just thought I'd share in case anyone was curious.

Doctor Appointment Update

Well last Friday at my doctors appointment my blood pressure was down a little which is really great but the bad news was that I failed my 1 hour glucose test...so thismorning I get to go back and retake the three hour test. Please pray that I pass this one because I didn't have gestational diabetes with my first pregnancy and I don't really want to deal with it this go around either. Other than that the dr said everything looked great with the baby and she even let me come back on two weeks instead of one since my bp was so good. My next appointment is next Friday and I'm hoping for another good report!!
