Well as many of you know I had pregnancy induced hypertension at the end of my pregnancy with Kaylee which caused me to be induced at 36 weeks. For the first half of this pregnancy my blood pressure was great so I didn't think I would have any problems this time around, but as soon as I hit the second half my blood pressure started going up. At my appointment about a month ago it was a little higher than they liked so they wanted to start seeing me every two weeks so they could monitor me a little closer. Then last week on Tuesday, I wasn't feeling well and I decided to take my blood pressure and it was 159/131. I immediately called the doctor and they told me to come in right away..my mom or Katelyn usually stays with the kids for my doctors appointments but they were both out of town, so thank goodness my mother in law was available to come and sit with them.
By the time I got to the doctor my blood pressure had gone down a little but they were still concerned so they sent me to labor and delivery for testing. They wanted to admit me but I convinced them to send me home since my family was out of town and I needed to make arrangements for all my daycare kiddos. They let me go home after 4 hours of monitoring but told me I had to go back Thursday morning to be re-checked.
Thursday morning when I got to the doctor my blood pressure was up again and they wanted to admit me for 24 hour testing to rule out severe pre-eclampsia. They let me go home for a few hours to get my things together and then I headed back that afternoon. They released me and said that I do have pre-eclampsia and they want to watch me very closely so that it does not turn into severe pre-eclampsia. There is not much they can do for me except watch and wait the only cure is delivery of the baby. I am on bedrest from 12:00-6:00 every day and I will see the doctor each week until they decide to deliver. My doctor said to be ready because at any point they can decide to deliver if they feel me or the baby is in danger.
So thats whats going on with us. I did my glucose test on Monday and will be getting the results of that back this morning at my doctor visit. I will upate later if anything changes. Please keep us in your prayers that my blood pressure can be controlled at least until I hit 35 weeks ( I am 26 26 weeks now).

Kyle Update
I mentioned the last time I posted that I would update after my dr appointment...so here goes!! I went to the dr Friday and the baby looked great..the only concern was that my blood pressure had gone up quite a bit from the last appointment. My dr said she isn't too concerned with it right now but she does want to start monitoring me a little closer, which means I will have to start going every 2 weeks. My next appointment is the 19th and if it my bp has increased then she said she will probably go ahead and put me on a medication to try and control it!! I also have to go and do my glucose test within the next two weeks...everyone please pray for no diabetes!!

It's a Boy!
We found out about a month ago that we are expecting a little boy this time..we were shocked but absolutely thrilled!! Everyone thought it was going to be another little girl..but we were proven wrong at the sonogram!! We are planning on naming him Kyle..we are not 100% sure about the middle name yet but as of now we are going with Jacob. I really loved the name Kayden, but John didn't really care for it...I was set on having another "K" name..which he wasn't thrilled about..but somehow we ended up settling on Kyle. So far this pregnancy is going much smoother that the last!! I am 22 weeks right now and my blood pressure is perfect! They were a little concerned at my sonogram a few weeks ago because I had a low lying placenta..but I had another sonogram last week and that has corrected itself..praise the Lord. My official due date is October 5th, but due yo being induced so early with Kaylee, the doctor said there was a good chance that I will end up having him in September..so we will see. I am going to try to upload my sonogram pictures if they turn out!! My next appointment in Friday so I will give an update on baby Kyle then!

Kaylee Update
Well...I have a lot of catching up to do since my last post. Things have been very busy for us these past few months so I haven't had much time to post. Let's see, where should I begin?
Kaylee turned 14 months old a few weeks ago and she is finally walking all over the place!! She has been walking for about a month now but she has gotten really good the past few weeks. She no longer wants to ride in the shopping cart or her stroller, she wants to walk around and explore...and of course she doesn't want you to hold her hand...she wants to do everything by herself!!
Her little attitude is starting to show more the older she gets (not sure where she gets that from haha)..some days I feel like all I do is get onto her and some days she is an angel. She is starting to communicate a lot better with us which is a lot of fun. She talks all the time but only says a few words that you can actually understand..she usually points to let me know what she wants or if I ask her if she wants something she will shake her head yes or no. I am trying to get her to use words when she wants something..but so far not much luck!!
She is a very good sleeper which is nice...I'm trying to get in all the sleep I can before the baby is born. She goes to bed at 7:00 and sleeps anywhere from 8:30-9:30 the next morning. Kaylee still loves her baby swing very much..she has one in her room and this is where she takes her naps every day. You might be thinking, isn't she too big for a baby swing...and yes, she is way to big for it..her feet hang off the bottom and her head touches the bar at the top..if I turn it on it won't even swing because she is so heavy..but she has learned how to make it swing on her own and thats how she puts herself to sleep!! I told John he needs to be thinking of ways to build her a customized baby swing before too long..haha.
We took her back to Disney world a few weeks ago and she had so much fun..she was really good and didn't even fuss about riding in her stroller. Her favorite ride is still haunted mansion...she loves it!! We only stayed 2 nights this time which worked out much better for her..by the time she had enough it was time to head home. We are going to try and go back in December with both kids...we'll see how that turns out!!
I haven't been really good about taking pictures lately, but here are a few random ones from the past few months!!
